Message to Our Clients: Health and Safety at Our Hair Salons in Luton and Ampthill
At Steve Hilliard Hairdressing, the health and wellbeing of our clients are always our top priority. To ensure the safety of everyone, we have implemented strict measures in our hair salon in Luton and hair salon in Ampthill to protect you and our staff. Our commitment to safety is part of what makes us one of the top hair salons in the UK.
These include:
- To help with social distancing, please call us to make an appointment - do not visit us in person to do this.
- It is important to cancel and reschedule your apointment if:
- You feel unwell
- You live with anyone who is unwell
- You have been in contact with anyone displaying typical coronavirus symptoms, such as a cough, shortness of breath, or loss/change to your sense of smell or taste
- You have recently traveled to an area with high infection rates
Health & Safety Measures We Are Taking at Our Salons in Luton and Ampthill Salon:
- Our team will greet you without close contact (no handshakes, hugs, etc.).
- Upon arrival, you will be asked to wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser. We will provide these facilities.
- Our team is following strict hygiene guidelines, and we ask you to do the same.
- Please place any used paper towels and tissues straight into the bin after use.
- Sanitise or wash your hands after coughing or sneezing.
- There will be no magazines or newspapers to share between clients.
- Team members will regularly sanitise all stations, door handles, and bathrooms.
- Team members will thoroughly wash their hands or use hand sanitiser between clients and appointments.
- We ask that you do not touch any of our salon supplies unless you are definitely purchasing the item.
- The team will be wearing visors for added protection.
- Both our hair salon in Luton and hair salon in Ampthill are fogged by Enviro-Safe28, protecting all surfaces for 28 days from viruses and bacteria. This includes the interiors, external doors, our tools, and gowns.
- We have installed screens at reception and backwash stations for your safety.
- Please pay with a card (preferably contactless) where possible, instead of cash.
- Please try to come to the salon alone to minimise the number of people inside, keeping with the guidelines of salon safety.
- No walk-ins, please. You can call us from outside if needed to make an appointment, further minimising the number of people in the salon.
- Please wait outside to be greeted, or we can call you and invite you in.
- Kindly wait outside the salon or in your car until we call you, as we will not have a fully operational waiting area.
- You will be temperature tested prior to entry. Anyone with a temperature above 37.8°C will unfortunately be refused entry and asked to rebook after 2 weeks with no symptoms.
- Please sanitise your hands upon entering the salon with the solution we provide.
- While there is no requirement to wear a mask, you are welcome to wear one, and we provide them free of charge.
- Please note, we will not be serving hot drinks or providing magazines during this time. You are welcome to bring your own drink, or we can serve water in a disposable cup for you.
- Always be aware of social distancing with other clients and hairdressers during your visit to our hair salons in Ampthill or hair salons in Luton.
- We will not be taking walk-in clients—pre-booked appointments only!
- If you’re coming for a skin test, please inform the front of house that you’re outside, and we will promptly conduct the test just outside the salon for you.
